The Romariz house was founded in 1850 by Manoel Rocha Romariz. The Romariz brand has always been recognized for the high quality of its Port Wines.

Its main markets were, from the beginning, the national market, Brazil, Portuguese Colonies and England. In 1966 the Romariz family retired from business and sold the brand to the firm Guimaraens & Cª.

At the end of the 1980s, Romariz was bought by a British group that has developed this prestigious brand, conquering new markets.

14 years ago, Bodegas lagar de Pintos, with the intention of diversifying its product catalogue, reached a collaboration agreement with the Romariz winery for the distribution of its Ports in Spain.
